C35 concrete mix what is the right mix ?

Sep 22, 2017 · I have to mix a strong mix for foundations for a steel beam post. The initial foundation is going to be about 60x60 and at least 100 cm with some vertical bars. I have been advised to achieve C35 strength I have been online trying to find the correct mix for the cement, sharp sand and gravel, but it seems they all differ for C35.

Conventional grade C20, C25 and C30 concrete mix ratio

The concrete mix ratio refers to the proportion of the components in the concrete. The concrete mix ratio is usually represented by the quality of various materials per cubic meter of concrete, or amount proportion of various materials. The basic requirements for the design of concrete mix ratio are: 1, meet the strength grade of concrete design.

If you have a project which requires a defined strength of concrete - i.e. 20MPa to set the posts for a raised deck - then its time to call in the experts and have concrete delivered from a ready mixed truck – it’s the only way to guarantee the structural strength in the concrete.

Recipe for Concrete using postcrete and 20mm gravel please

If you want to mix your own concrete, this formulation will yield a simple mix having a strength of about 25 MPa: 75 kg of nominal 20mm coarse aggregate 45 kg of concrete sand 25 kg of standard portland cement 13 kg of clean water This will yield enough material (about 1/10 of a cubic meter) to charge a typical small rental mixer.

Definition of Concrete MPa

According to the National Ready Mix Concrete Association, the MPa of concrete ranges from 17 in residential construction to 28 in commercial projects. Any concrete product with an MPa over 41 is considered "high-strength," and is designed for large-scale projects like bridges or high-rise buildings.

How To Use Concrete

Mix for 2-3 minutes, slowly adding remaining water to produce a mix of the desired consistency. Hand Mixing . It’s easy! Hand mixing is appropriate for small volumes. Hand mixing should be done with shovels on a concrete slab or flat steel sheet. Never mix directly on the ground because this results in contamination of the mix. A pan mixer is the only type of machine mixer suitable for blockyards. Pan mixers, with a forced mixing action, can cope with the semi-dry mixes used for making blocks. Drum mixers

Lightweight concrete is often achieved by adding air, foams, or lightweight aggregates, with the side effect that the strength is reduced. For most routine uses, 20 MPa (2,900 psi) to 32 MPa (4,600 psi) concrete is often used. 40 MPa (5,800 psi) concrete is readily commercially available as a more durable, although more expensive, option.
